Petals Around the Rose: Fraternity Register

Spent too much time on a false assumption about 'rose' and 'petals', specifically what part of the game those terms were referring to. Spent some time collecting and recording rolls and answers to see whether order was significant, answer was as I expected. Grouped all the rolls together into sets having the same answer, saw the patterns come out starting from the low numbers. Took about an hour. Yay.

It took me awhile, probably about 30 minutes. I kept trying to ADD stuff together. LOL. I knew the name had to be significant, but couldn't figure out how or why. I even tried adding up the letters of the name!

Took me 30mins. I made the mistake of being distracted at first and writing things down,etc when there was no need to. All I had to do was take a quick break, look back at the screen, and when I reread the title and the insructions it became immediately clear!

Whoo that was fun, I got it in less than 5 miniutes.

It took me 3 minutes, I guess I should feel stupid.

The name of the game is important!!!

WTF I googled the answer

I solved this about a year ago on another site, and I did so in about 40 minutes without any outside help, so I feel pretty proud. I've watched a lot of people solve this under "questionable circumstance" (such as people over emphasizing the title of the game, or giving away clues which make it far too easy) and others who were unable to solve it because of the pressure that the "PATR Illuminati" posed made it difficult to analyze results. I believe this game is best learned through the use of a web-based version.
