I guess I fit the description mentioned by Dr. Richard Duke at the University of Michigan.
I quote: "the smarter you are, the longer it takes to figure it out."
I figured it out in 3 minutes, with 6 rolls..... cool

Yesterday ... I was a bit puzzled about the roses, I figured out most of the answers, without being able to exactly point out the thing behind... And now, monday morning... I finally realised how simple it was !!!! great puzzle !

Sigh...my least favorite kind of puzzle.

Well, definately time to throw a machine learner at it and see some non-human answers to the problem smile.

Fun. At first it seemed almost impossible, then I got on the right track and began forming some rules that seemed to apply and finally I realized the simple principle.
Now I can finally do something else smile

I was one of the ones who thought really hard and complex. Luckly, it didn't take me forever to get. About 12 hours, but I was asleep for about 7 or so of those hours. So about 5 waking hours. cool

Props. Nice presentation of a very useful chestnut. I'll have the kids on my robotics team driving each other crazy with this one.

That was awsome, it took me two days, and took a friend about 10 minutes. thanks for having the guestbook. I wonder how many people tried it and didn't get it.
