Not aware of a mathematical solution but by observation I got it on the second try. I played with dice that had dots, not numbers.

I got it when i went to another site which only showed the dice by dot pictures and not the numbers with digits.

any comments about how it was solved, would i feel violate the restriction on what information is provided to solve the problem. however, assuming that all who read this have solved it, my comment is that i soolved it entirely nonmathematically but by observation only
