Got the answer instantly: it was the first one I tried. Unfortunately I miscounted, assumed I was wrong and proceeded to try every other possible solution for an hour and a half before retrying and realising that I was right the first time.
I think this sums up my own personal way of thinking quite nicely.

I was introduced to PATR in a graduate class at the University of Southern Ca in 1974. The professor used it as a means of determining those who wanted to learn and seek solutions, and those that gave up without too much effort.
I have been a member of the PATR fraternity since then.
