I figured this out several years ago and have been using the game in my Introduction to Psychology class within a unit on Problem Solving. I have never devulged the solution to my students, but have a link to the online version of this puzzle so that they can continue to work on it outside of class. There are always several students who manage to figure it out and they are always so proud that it didn't take then as long as it took Bill Gates!

It was very frustrating at first - until I looked at the clue regarding the petals "around" the rose more closely. Thanks for the brain exercise - the older I get - the more I need it
