unbelievable
first played this game about a decade ago on a commodore 64 it was "shareware" (read: pirate) back then, and titled "name of the rose" or something; also didn't have the 3 rules specified... never got it.
Spent awhile searching under that wrong name- found this site finally.
With the basic rules, I think I got it after about 4 rolls!

Messed with this for hours a few months ago. Just came back today and finally got it after 20 minutes or so. Ugh, I can't believe it was that easy!
