Indeed, a great puzzle. To begin with, there was no clue at all. Then the name of the game itself struck.

Got it in four. It's a little like a riddle that children get first and adults struggle over because we think too hard. The riddle for those interested is "What do rich people want, poor people have, if you eat it you die, and it's greater than God."
As stated children usually get it quickly...adults can struggle for ages. smile

Got it on the first try!!! Just really thought about the name of the game and how i could apply it to the dice themselves, was pretty obvious really!!

finalleeeee!!
oh but i still dunno the significance of the name. confused cd someone pls explain?
note to ppl who still havent got it: please dont think complicated. IT'S NOT
i know what took me so long after a lifetime of complex series just couldnt think simple. could mail the list of throws and answers to anyone needing it cos its utterly useless

ps: though i hate the fact of having taken so long the line saying "the smarter you are, the harder it is." does make one feel good big grin

This game drove me crazy for years. frown I learned of it from an older gentleman who, it seemed, always had five dice in his jacket pocket. The bad news is that he recently passed away (at the ripe age of 92 smile ). The good news is that in the 20+ years he tortured me and others with the dice, he never once gave up the secret. As with many, it came to me suddenly and simply. Now I can be the torturer!!! cool frown #@*%!

This is a great game. Took me 4 tries to come up with what turned out to be the right theory -- had a couple before that I was lucky enough to have disproven immediately. Years of math team as a kid must have strengthened the right mental muscles for this, I guess. :P smile
