Petals Around the Rose: Fraternity Register

This game drove me crazy for years. I learned of it from an older gentleman who, it seemed, always had five dice in his jacket pocket. The bad news is that he recently passed away (at the ripe age of 92 ). The good news is that in the 20+ years he tortured me and others with the dice, he never once gave up the secret. As with many, it came to me suddenly and simply. Now I can be the torturer!!!

This is a great game. Took me 4 tries to come up with what turned out to be the right theory -- had a couple before that I was lucky enough to have disproven immediately. Years of math team as a kid must have strengthened the right mental muscles for this, I guess. :P

Took me a while to figure it out and then it hit me in the shower one day. Really need to think about the name.

I took 15 minutes not able to get it.... then sit back relax....try to solve...gotcha..not even 5 minutes...

Wow. Stumped me for a good 15 - 20 minutes. Then I read the name being one that doesn't follow directions very well.... it took me longer than it should have.

Got it at the third roll given in the example ...just kept focusing on the name!
