This is the first time I have ever seen this puzzle. It is maddeningly obscure and insanely simple at the same time. Thanks.

It's been almost 30 years since I solved this puzzle. I used to give it to my math classes as a thinking challenge. It's fun to see it resurface unchanged after all this time.

This took me two and a half frustrated hours; then I changed my approach and got it in about 5 minutes.
I still haven't figured out the significance of the title. Could someone email me about this?

It took me too long time (30 min), although knowing that there was something 'tricky' it didn't really work out. But when I saw the 'light' everything became clear.

Just a little over 15 minutes to solve. We need a little image for our website or a message board avatar or something.
