'Petals around the rose!' What a great clue! That's just so clever!

Anyway, the name didn't help me one bit. I just wrote down the numbers for a while and worked it out with logic.

Took about 10-15 minutes, had to go and read the background again, then came back and got in 3 throws. Only easy when you know how it works as they say...

Entering 18 examples in a spreadsheet and sorting them gave me the clues I needed.

Confess I don't yet see the significance of
the name of the game.

If you don't see the significance of the name of the game, then you really haven't solved the problem.

Took me one roll to figure it out. The name gives away too much.

Give a gorilla five minutes, and he'll solve a puzzle. Do I get a banana?
