I can't do magic eye either, at least not on purpose Smile
With quite a few of Etienne's puzzles, a good image editor like PaintShopPro will be very handy indeed. I solved the cross-view problem (level 3) by applying the 'cheating' on this page with PSP.
PS Etienne got his own Forum, very usefull Smile

Maybe still in the Stone Age! But that is the reason IMO geniuses and 'thinktankers' come along. Common folk like me enjoy the benefits of these elite groups. I am happy to buy the products they invent, and support their work. How about you, hay.mail? Cool

You should not belittle yourself quite so much. Not every scientific achievement is the result of pure genius. There is a lot to be said for perserverance.

Science stagnated during the Dark Ages as people thought that they could not possibly improve upon the work of the Ancients. Of course they could and they did during the Renaissance.

As for maths and things: much like most skills, they can be honed with practice.

Belittle? I always enjoy meeting new people, and seeing their reaction to my honest, simple view of myself, which is NOT a degrading attitude, but a simple fact. I utterly enjoy life here in the 'out-of-the-rat-race' mellow zone, right in this maddness all around me in 'cityville', crowded, mega-traffic, lying, cheating, and an otherwise all-for-themself society, I find 'lil old me, cruisin' and livin' stress-free smackdab in the middle of it all- still think I am belittling myself? If you do, then most assuredly ALL you can possibly know about me is my name! Welcome to my world~~ Cool

Also thanx for the brief Dark Ages review, and the math skills, both of topics I know little of.

I used the word "belittle" in reference to you contrasting "geniuses and 'thinktankers' " with "common folk like me". I am suggesting that there really is not that great a difference between you and the geniuses. Of course some people are naturally gifted but most of it comes down to effort. Thomas Edison said, "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration." I am inclined to agree: unless you try to achieve something, you won't achieve anything.

However, if this does not bother you then great. Another saying is "ignorance is bliss".

Now, back to the puzzle! Try reading each line of the pyramid out loud.

Before anything else, let me say this dialogue has been super enjoyable!
Maybe the differences 'tween genius and pauper, or commoners are really slight and only separated by effort, but I still feel wisdom also comes in knowing one's own place and enjoying it!
AND input from people like yourself, who 'pump up' other folk, boosting them to seek out and achieve betterment, is highly commendable and I for one thank you for the effort! I unfortunately do not have a comment for 'ignorance is bliss', I see no niceness, i.e. 'bliss' in looking away, or refusing to know, i.e. 'ignore'.
Now the puzzle! I read aloud forward and reverse, and except for a great laugh, I see no way even looking at your answer. Do you see what you mean by 'naturally gifted'? Or were you trained in the sort of logic, or whatever it takes to get to that 1322113 or whatever that puzzle was? (I just randomed this number) Cheers Cool

OOOPS forgot about achievements-get to them later.....

The more you know, the more you know you don't know. In this respect, ignorance is bliss.

I am going to give you a huge hint now: read each row out aloud while looking at the row above.

The puzzle can continue forever; for every line there is a next line.

OK, I dig on the 'bliss' thing. Now that you gave me such an incredible hint on the number pyramid, I wish I'd spent more time trying, not that I would have 'gotten' it, but would have had more fun!!

Thanx Hay.mail for the conversing! Cheers, Cool
