Traditional Owners — Moss Vale

Lloyd Borrett proudly acknowledges the Gandangara/Gundungurra people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Country on which he lives, and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge their songlines, cultural lore and continuing connection to the land and water. I recognise and value their rich cultural heritage and continued contributions of Aboriginal people and communities to our Australian society.

In Gunyunggalung (The Dreaming), there lived one of the Burringilling (clever beings) called Gurangatch. His form was part fish and part reptile, and he had the power to cleave rocks to form rivers.
