For those people who want to solve this puzzle, think of this:
THE TITLE OF THE PUZZLE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
and
DONT THINK TOO LOGICALLY, THE SOLUTION IS SIMPLER THAN YOU THINK!

and another clue is to:
READ THE BILL GATES ARTICLE!

Hope this helps! Wink

I've tried this so many times, I compiled a HUGE list of all the combinations and answers i got, I read the Bill Gates article and I've got all my friends thinking about it too, I got 2 of them right in the game, just by looking them up in my list... but I have absolutely no clue...
I know the title is significant... but if it's a simple answer that used addition, then how do roses fit in... and stars?

It is. Others try to "simplify" by writing down "lists". And that CAN help you to find the pattern, but only if one does it right.
Most written-down lists will help very little, if at all.
Going in, reading (eventually re-reading) the rules and just doin it helps.

I answered to someone else: " I read the Bill Gates article by accident. Though mildly amusing, it doesn't <tell> how the game is played, but goes around that. Later I found a web-presentation and ... took me only a few rolls"

Indeed, lists don't do it. Doping it does. Just : remember the name of the game, roll the dice, look at them.
And don't whine: it's not that you atre "dumb" if you don't see it. You 're just not opened to the ... edxperience at the moment. That is what connects this game to the mystic experience, to the Aha-Erlebnis, to prayer and Zen.

I was able to solve the puzzle mathematically, but the relevance of the name escapes me. Can anyone explain whythe name is important without giving away the algorithm? I know nothing about flowers and the even/oddness of their plant peices. This puzzle can be solved using 2nd grade math, it's very easy!!
